A large frame cast construction with break top action. Marked with serial No."Z5245" and patent No. "5.47" which depicts date. The maker's mark is the standard Sklar, San Francisco in a circle. Were used during WWII and saw much usage as part of lifeboat survival gear and aboard military and commercial vessels.
